A Beginners Guide to Insanity 2.0

Alright,  so,  I have been seriously neglecting tumblr.   It’s not that I wanted to, but I’ve been really fucking busy.  Last month all my free time was thrown into working on a project for a class I didn’t really like too much.     So,  I’m sorry for that, and quite honestly, I doubt I’ll be on much this month since this class does seem like it’s going to be the hardest class in my degree.  Not that I mind,  because it’s so much more interesting than the rest of the classes I’ve had up to this point.  Alright on to my next topic though. 

So, I graduate.  IN 25 FUCKING DAYS.   And then that’s it.  I successfully survived college.  Well, except for the fact that I’m planning on starting my masters one month after graduation. (it would be sooner if I could) But it’s still a huge accomplishment.   In 25 days I’ll have a degree in film.  And hopefully before the month is over, I’ll be doing smallish jobs to make money in order to survive May, since I’ll be unemployed. 

It’s terrifying to think that in less than a month I’m going to be unemployed.    And I have no idea what I’m doing.   I do know that this month I’m going to work my fucking ass off to make sure I know what I’m doing by the end of it.    Which is why I’m using tumblr right now to do my assignment for producing.  Which was more of a suggestion.   I’m going to set my 6 Month, 1 Year, and 5 Year goals.  Right here.  Right now.  On Tumblr. 

6 Month Goals:

• I will Graduate Full Sail with a Film Degree
• I will produce at least one non-school project.
• I will shoot at least 6 projects.  
• I will do at least 2 photo shoots.
• I will start my masters in Entertainment Business.

1 Year Goals:

• I will Graduate Full Sail with a Master in Entertainment Business.
• I will apply for and get an internship with NBC  Universal. 
• I will move to NYC and find work doing what I love. 
• I will produce at least 3 independent projects. 
• I will work on and be paid for at least 10 project during the course of my masters.

5 Year Goals:

• I will complete an internship. 
• I will apply and get into the NBC Page program
• I will get a job on an episodic television show.  
• I will continue to produce short projects and photo shoots.
• I will write up a pilot for an episodic TV show.   

So,  these are my goals.  Now to get to work on them.   This kind of clears things up for me, because I sat down and spent a few hours trying to narrow down my choices, since I was told to do that in lecture today.     I know where I’m going, and exactly what I want to do.  Well, mostly.   But I’ll figure that out as I go.    Anyway.   I should probably get to sleep, I have class in the morning.  

So, I’m trying to decide what movies I want to see at the festival.  I’ve chosen two that I’m going to see for sure,  I just need to figure out what the other two are going to be since I’m getting the four movie pass.

Help me decide?

This whole insomnia thing is starting to get really lame.  It’s been two weeks, every single night I haven’t been able to sleep when I want to,  except for last night, which happened to be 4AM, but still, I try to get a decent amount of sleep, since I get up every morning at 7ish to do work, and I just can’t seem to sleep.  Tomorrow I need to get up early, pick up Pokemon, DM a D&D Game, working on my IPC projects, take care of graduation stuff, send like 100 emails, worry about moving.  again. And, the fact that graduations so fucking close that I’m going insane with trying to figure out how I’m survive for the month after graduation until my Masters degree starts.   Financial aid doesn’t cover it, since I have to wait till that money comes in.   And that means I’m going to have to ask my family for money.   I’ve got a panel to finish writing.   You know, I think I realized why I can’t sleep anymore.   I’m taking on too much at a time.  And I can’t really stop that.   I’ve got to keep myself overloaded with work, otherwise I’ll get sidetracked, and get nothing done.   But still, I could use a bit less stress.   I should try to go to sleep soon.  

Another awesome movie.  I was killing time today waiting to go out to the movies and go see Take Me Home tonight, and so I decided to watch this movie which I had gotten in from Netflix.    I read the plot and found out who the cast was and decided I had to watch.  Jeff Daniels plays a middle aged writer who still has an imaginary friend, who happens to be a Superhero played by none other than Ryan Reynolds.  He’s having some issues,  which I’m sure are because he’s 40 or so with a imaginary friend. Over the course of the film he meets a girl, played by Emma Stone, who also has an imaginary friend, and the two form an unlikely friendship, but with out spoilers, it’s awesome.   So, check it out.  

Tonight, when everyone else is rushing out to the theaters to go see The Adjustment Bureau and Rango (At least everyone on my facebook was going for it), I went out to go see Take Me Home Tonight.  I wasn’t disappointed.   The movie was fucking amazing.    I’ve been waiting for a good comedy this year, and most of them are still a good month away, this movie  just kind of popped up with a trailer on hulu and I was instantly hooked.  The soundtrack was amazing,  the movie felt like the 80s, which isn’t something you really see in movie’s lately.   I’m glad the movie actually managed to get released.    I read that there were problems with the content of the movie and that they had to re-edit it to get it out, but still, I can’t wait until it comes out on DVD, because they’ll probably have an awesome uncut version. But anyway, if you love the 80s, love buddy comedies, love romantic comedies, or just are in the mood for an awesome movie, then I’d suggest you go see Take Me Home Tonight.

So, I’ve been super busy, and Minecraft has kept me from tumblr.  I apologize.      Anyway, I’ll be posting movie stuff later since I’m going to see Take Me Home Tonight.
