One of my favorite songs of 2010.
January 2011
Well, I guess my lists of awesomness might take a while to get up. It’s hard to figure out all the stuff. I’ve got them almost all typed in MS word, just not ready to go up on tumblr yet I guess. Anyway. 2010 was amazing. Hands down, it was probably the best year of my life. And I hope it gets even better from now on. Anyway, if I don’t get back to tumblr before midnight, hope everyone has a good new years eve.

I love this movie. I’ve seen it like 10 times now, but tomorrow I’m finally seeing it in a theater. It’s going to be amazing. Though I have to be on a train by 7:30 tomorrow morning, and who knows when I’ll get home. But I’ll be with awesome people doing something amazing.

And to top it all off. Black Swan. Damn. I can’t believe how much I loved this movie. I hadn’t heard of it until I had it’s limited release, and I saw the trailer. That alone blew me away. And then going out and seeing it was just amazing. It was better than everything else I saw this year. Yeah it had it’s weird moments, but they worked for it. By the way, I said before I would reveal who my favorite actress was by the end of this. Obvious answer is obvious. Natalie Portman. Anyway, I’ve got a few more lists to make up before 2010 is over. Watch me hit 300 posts before the year is over.

How many people thought this would actually be my number one movie. Yeah. I thought that up until a week ago or so. It’s a beautiful movie. And while the movie it self is extremely complicated and intricate, it’s really just a story about a father trying to get home to see his children. I really enjoyed this movie, and I continue to every time I’ve watched it. I was gonna do a review of this when I got it on Blu Ray, but I was too lazy. Maybe I’ll get around to it in 2011.

This movie was easily one of the funniest movies I’ve seen this year. Which is good, because my list of movies is lacking in comedy this year. Emma Stone is my second favorite actress. (The first will be revealed by the end of this list) She’s amazing. I really liked the story behind this movie. Once I have the money I’ll be picking it up to add to my Blu Ray collection.

This movie was obviously amazing. It had to of been in order to get up here. Firstly, Aaron Sorkin. Fucking. Amazing. I love his writing. Studio 60 on the Sunset Strip is one of my favorite TV shows, right up there with Firefly. And the performances were amazing. The music was pretty good. And I think it was the first movie I saw that was shot on a Red, which looked pretty amazing.

This movie. Seriously. When I first saw it on netflix, I thought it looked okay, and added to my queue. Then I got a roommate. And we were hanging out and I asked what movie I should get from netflix. He was like “The Good The Bad The Weird, it sounds cool” or something similar, it was months ago. Anyway, we got it in from netflix, and it blew me away. It’s amazing. For a remake/parody/retelling of The Good The Bad The Ugly, it’s pretty fucking good.

To me, this movie was amazing. I know a lot of people that hated it. But I really enjoyed it. I saw it so many times now. And visually, it was a style that I really liked, I want to shoot stuff like that.

There was no way this movie wasn’t going to be on this list. It has to be here. This movie amazed me. It started off by pulling me right on back in with some of my favorite characters from my childhood. And then it stings. Because I remember having to give up some of my toys when I left for college. In fact, I gave my little sister one of my favorite toys from my childhood, and pretty much did the same thing Andy did at the end of Toy Story 3. So Toy Story 3 hit me pretty hard. And I loved it.

I loved this movie. It was amazing. I can’t really express how much I loved this movie. Then again, that’s how I feel about every movie from here on up the list. It was amazing. And it’s the best 3D movie I’ve ever seen. Hands down. James Cameron aint got shit on this movie.
Brb tumblr, I’m going on a 3 hour road trip to visit family and such. Luckily for Tumblr, I have enough posts queued up for you guys that you won’t miss me at all.

To continue this list, Iron Man 2 is pretty high up there this year. I really enjoyed it. Originally, HP7 was supposed to be my 9th movie, but I think all the things I wanted to see in it are gonna be in part 2, so I’ll leave that for 2011. That and I love the Iron Man movies.

This movie could of been so much higher on this list. I had such high hopes for it, but it’s flaws were too much for it to beat out any of the other movies on this list. But I did love it anyway. I’d go on about this, but I think I already did a review of this somewhere else on my tumblr.
First up. I should talk about movies. That would be the obvious way to start this off, being that I do kind of go to school to study movies. So, I think the easiest way for me to do this would be to talk about my top 10 movies of 2010. I’ll do one per post, since I’m queuing all these up anyway. After that, I’ll go into TV shows. Then music. Maybe books, but I really didn’t get around to reading too many books. And finally to wrap up the year, I’ll talk about some of the amazing adventures I’ve had and the amazing people I’ve met.
Alright, since it’s nearly the end of the year, I’m gonna start talking about cool stuff about 2010. Since in all actuality, I think this year has been one of the most interesting years. And a lot happened. So expects posts like that soon.
So, I’m sitting in my room, jamming out to some tunes, and queuing up some posts on tumblr. Because I feel like doing a lot of my work now. Since I’m kind of bored, and not at all tired. And so my mom wakes up in the middle of the night for some reason, and hears me typing away at my keyboard. So she opens the door and looks at me like I’m crazy, “You’re still awake, It’s like 1AM” I think she forgot that this is early for me. 1AM is me just chillin. Though I should sleep soon. Got stuff to do tomorrow. AND THEN THURSDAY. SUMMER WARS!
I just watched Easy A. Not only was that movie the hilariousness that my day needed, it was pretty amazing. It had a lot of really good quotable lines. I really enjoyed it. Made a rather shitty evening a lot better than it was going to be.
More Firefly tonight. Sounds like a plan.

So I was looking at movies I was planning on seeing next year. And three of the movies I’m looking forward to the most all have Natalie Portman in them. Is it just me, or is every movie she’s in good. Or at least she’s good in every movie she’s been in. Since I’m not a huge fan of the Star Wars Prequels, but she was good in them.
So, I watched Inception with my sister and her friend. At the end of the movie my sister sat there and was like “I don’t get it” Mean while her friend was like “OH MY GOD. ARE THEY STILL DREAMING, THAT WAS AWESOME. CAN I WATCH IT AGAIN,” I think my sister’s a bit of an idiot now, because her friend is only 14. And my sister is almost 18… In other news, I’m done with NY, after Summer Wars, I’m gonna be dying to go back to FL.
Did I mention I hate the snow.
So I still have no idea what I had a reaction to earlier, I guess I’ll figure it out next time I eat it?
I’d like to rephrase my last post. Firstly, I don’t think it’s actual allergies. I’m just raging because I’m having an allergic reaction to something I ate, and I honestly have no idea what the fuck it was. Secondly. I do miss playing Rock Band, I’m not rephrasing that. And on the topic of snow. No offense to people who love snow, but it’s just not my thing, I mean it’s pretty to look at, and it’s a pretty cool idea, and snow days are nice. But I don’t like the cold, so snow is not a cool thing, and I don’t really like the idea of shoveling. I spent most of my winters out in the cold, alone shoveling because my sister was too lazy to do anything, and my mom believed it was the job of me and my sister to shovel. Anyway, enough with the ranting, I’m gonna see if I can go watch Firefly on Bluray, and find more stuff to make this allergic reaction to whatever the fuck it is stop.
No. Allergies. GTFO. Alright, that’s one reason I can’t wait to leave NY and get back to FL. Reason number two is Rock Band is there. Reason 3. NO FUCKING SNOW. I think I’m just about done with NY. Once I go see Summer Wars on Thursday, I’ll be 100% ready to get out of the north and back to lovely FL.
i agree with everything on this list
I disagree about Dinner for Schmucks. It could of been better, but it was far from being one of the worst movies of the year. I enjoyed the cinematography in Scott Pilgrim. While the story was flat, the visuals, editing, and music were good enough to make me enjoy it.
So, I’m just on a posting spree today. Well, overall, it was a really nice Christmas. I got to see my siblings, who I haven’t seen other than via skype since I started college. They’ve grown up so much in the year and a half since I saw them last, it’s pretty amazing.
So I love my grandma, she’s amazing. Seriously. I mean, my family in general is pretty awesome, but my grandma was like “I can’t afford to get you the camera you want to get, but here’s almost all the money you need to get it, and so you don’t spend it before then, I’ll hold on to it until you have the rest of the money. Just call me when you want to buy it.” So, by the end of next month, I’ll have a brand new Canon 7D. I think that’s a pretty awesome Christmas gift. And I got some cool stuff other than that. But I cba to actually blog about the rest. So, I’m gonna leave now.
One more thing. My dad has awesome cats. It’s been forever since I hung out with some cool cats. And these cats are awesome xD
On a side note, I reached 200 posts today
I love it when I get awesome grades on Christmas. They might of put them up before today, but I checked today, so getting an A in Post Production is my Christmas present from school.
I didn’t even realize today was Christmas Eve until I got on tumblr and people were like “CHRISTMAS”
I think I’m gonna attempt sleeping again now. Wish me luck?
I’m never trying to sleep before midnight ever again. I tried to go to sleep at 11 tonight. And I totally failed. Here I am, an hour or so later, on tumblr. Obviously, college has screwed up my sleep patterns.
So earlier today I had an idea of something I should post. But then I ended up going out and doing stuff. And I came home to an open post that was empty. I have no idea where I was going with it. So, here’s a boring post.
So, it’s days like today where I have nothing to do, but then I remember, my family has a blu ray player, and I remember that I brought firefly on blu ray with me. I know what I’m doing today.
